The food here is just quite amazing as everything is western! You get meatballs and potatoes nearly everyday…no wonder everyone is so big size and humongous.
Its extremely extremely cold here! If you were ever to come here, do bring ear muffs and a mask to protect your nose and ears, cause mine nearly dropped off…
Something really interesting that happened was that when we were transiting at Amsterdam, I actually got a chance to get out of the airport without a visa as I had SINGAPORE passport! No wonder you serve 2 years just to get that passport. But anyway, when I got into the city it was so different. The whole city was so dark and you could just feel an air of darkness over the whole city. In fact on the map itself, there was even an area allocated as the red light district. Being Singaporean, I decided to just go to visit the district and it was so scary cause at every corner of the street was a sex shop and the lights that lid up the shops were literally red! How scary can things get! However, it was quite amazing as just as there were so many prostitution and promiscuity in this country, down every street of Amsterdam were also churches that soared the sky and pierced the air of distorted principles and mutilated human behavior. That was quite an experience of a life time!
